Companies and your team
One account can work in several companies. Each company is separate: its own products, orders, customers, websites, plan and team. You sign in once and move between them.
Your role is per company
You can be an Admin in one company and a Manager in another. Your role always follows the company you are working in, and it changes the moment an admin changes it — you do not need to sign out and back in.
- Admin — everything in the company, including its settings, its team and its plan.
- Manager — day-to-day work: products, orders, customers.
Signing in
You sign in with Continue with SSO: one account, verified once, for Coready and the other apps that use the same sign-in. There is no separate Coready password. Your email address belongs to that account, so you change it there rather than in Coready.
The first time you sign in, Coready asks for two things before it opens: your name and the language of the panel — and, if you are not part of a company yet, the name of the company to start. You can change all of them later.
Choosing a company when you sign in
If you work in one company, signing in takes you straight to it. If you work in several, you choose which one to open first; the one you used last is marked.
Switching companies
Open the user menu at the top right. Under Switch company you see every company you work in, with your role in each; the one you are in is ticked. Choose another to open its dashboard.
Creating a company
Choose Create a new company in the user menu (your first company is created when you first sign in). Give it a name, and it opens straight away:
- You are its owner and an Admin.
- It starts on the default plan, which you can change from My plan.
- It starts empty — nothing is copied from your other companies.
The owner
Every company has one owner — the person who created it. The owner is always an Admin, and is the only person who can delete the company. To step back, the owner hands the company to someone else first: Account settings → Owner → Transfer ownership. The new owner becomes an Admin; you stay on as an Admin until you leave or are removed.
Inviting someone to your company
An admin invites people under Settings → Users → Invite, with their email address and the role they should have. They receive an email from Coready with a link to join, valid for 7 days:
- If they already have an account — even one they use in another company — they sign in with it and join. The company then appears in their Switch company menu.
- If they are new, they sign in with Continue with SSO using the invited address, which creates their account, and join.
The link works only for the address it was sent to. Invitations not yet accepted are listed under Pending invitations, where you can send one again (the earlier link stops working) or revoke it. If an email cannot be sent, Coready shows you the link to pass on yourself.
An invitation counts towards your plan's users when it is accepted, so it can be refused then if your team is already full.
Removing and leaving
Removing someone from a company takes effect at once: they can no longer open it, and if it was the company they were working in, they are moved to another of theirs. The owner cannot be removed.
Anyone except the owner can leave a company under Account settings → Leave company. Their account and their other companies stay.
Backing up a company
An admin downloads everything in the company — records, websites, files, team, billing and Coready AI conversations — as one file under Settings → Backup. See Backup and restore for what it holds, how to keep it, and how to bring a deleted company back with it.
Deleting a company
The owner deletes a company under Settings → Backup → Delete company. Download a backup first and keep it somewhere safe: deleting leaves nothing behind, and only that file can bring the company back — nobody, not even support, can without it.
Deleting your company permanently removes all company data and closes its associated billing accounts. Any unused balance will be removed. If you would like to request a refund of your remaining balance, please contact support before or after deletion.
Before anything is deleted, Coready shows what goes with it — members, websites and their domains, products, orders, the balance left and open invoices — and asks you to confirm that you have a backup and to type the company's name. For your safety, deleting needs a recent sign-in; if yours is older, Coready asks you to sign in again first.
- Everything in the company goes: its team's access, websites (their domains stop working), products, orders, customers, files, billing account and Coready AI conversations.
- Open top-up invoices are cancelled. Coready keeps your invoices for as long as the law requires, and the balance the company had, for a refund.
- Members keep their accounts and can still sign in, with their other companies. Your account is not affected either.
To bring the company back, restore it from its backup: see Backup and restore.
